- Final-beta evaluationFinal-beta design and implementation are under evaluation; no customer deployment is implied.
What the design targets
Proposed path: time and weather crossing geography.
The design separates incoming reports from verified records and requires reconciliation to preserve both source states rather than blend them into one certainty level.
Final-beta review covers five proposed source families — NCEI, HURDAT2, SPC, NWS warnings, and local storm reports — and must verify provenance, update behavior, and disagreement handling for every enabled source.
The day after a storm, this is all anyone has.

The verified record — ncei storm events · episode 179923, ingested 23 jun 2026 by JTF — carries 7. Brought into register, 6 rows agree exactly and collapse into one. 1 moved: 2.50 IN at 4 nw potosi, 20:00 → 19:20. And 1 was never confirmed at all — 2.50 IN at 3 w dyess afb, whose own remark reads “PICTURE ON FACEBOOK. TIME ESTIMATED.” — so it is still printed as preliminary rather than dropped. The two records are reconciled, held against each other, rather than blended into one number. Source: NOAA NCEI Storm Events episode 179923 · NWS San Angelo local storm reports.
